Sweating is good for you. It’s one of the body’s safest and most natural ways to heal and maintain good health. Alternative medicine widely embraces sauna detox for treatment. Researchers have long told us how the body sweats out toxin build-up, including heavy metals. As long as you maintain proper hydration, the more you safely sweat, the more toxicants you’ll expel from your skin and body.
Infrared light is a form of alternative and holistic health therapies with more and more research available every day. Our sauna provider, Sunlighten has been on the cutting edge of developing infrared therapies for over 25 years and their clinical studies have highlighted the many benefits of infrared sauna usage, for example:
Detoxification
Heart Health
Muscle Recovery
Anti-Aging
Relaxation
Immunity
Improved Sleep
Weight Loss
Sweating supports detoxification. Healthy bodies have healthy cells managing the chemical exchanges with nutrients and minerals for a vibrant life. Environmental toxins can hinder that, affecting energy, stamina, pain, insomnia, obesity, mental health and more. Perspiration, respiration and elimination are the natural ways our bodies expel the metabolic waste produced inside us. We can help our bodies get rid of and prevent build up through natural detox therapies that support the body’s natural detox work of the liver, kidneys, lungs and skin.
Red light therapy targets mitochondria, the "powerhouses" of your cells, boosting adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production for repair and optimal function. With over 100 trillion mitochondria in the body, red light energises cells, supporting skin repair, heart health, and vitality.
Red light therapy is a natural, non-invasive treatment that uses red and near infrared wavelengths to penetrate the skin, boosting cellular energy, collagen production, and circulation. Similar to sunrise and sunset light, it stimulates repair and regeneration, much like sunlight helps plants grow and thrive.
Benefits include:
Slower Aging
Strengthened Immunity
Reduced Inflammation and Pain
Increased Collagen Production (+ improved skin elasticity)
Improved Sleep (boosts melatonin production)
Muscle Repair
Reduction in Fat / Cellulite
Research in the British Journal of Sports Medicine shows three minutes of red light reduces inflammation and pain in tendonitis, while treatments improve pain, mobility, and quality of life in osteoarthritis patients.
Red light therapy helps muscles regenerate and become more resilient. Using red and near infrared wavelengths, this therapy penetrates deep into muscles, energizing cells to speed up tissue repair and reduce inflammation. Studies show it can accelerate recovery and reduce soreness, enhancing muscle strength.
Red light therapy stimulates collagen production, improves blood flow, and enhances lymphatic drainage, all of which contribute to smoother, firmer skin. A study from the National Institute of Health found that red light therapy can break down fat cells, leading to a significant reduction in the appearance of cellulite. By creating tiny pores in fat cells, red light therapy allows lipids to be released and promotes the growth of new blood vessels, which helps clear toxins and reduce inflammation. When combined with massage or exercise, studies have shown the effects can be even greater.
Red light therapy can also boost immune function by stimulating cellular energy production and improving circulation. Research shows that red light therapy enhances the activity of immune cells such as lymphocytes and macrophages, which play a crucial role in defending the body against infections. It also reduces inflammation by promoting antioxidant activity and supporting the repair of damaged tissues.
Infrared is an invisible wavelength of light (experienced as heat) that has the ability to safely penetrate your body on a cellular level and raise core body temperature. Each wavelength of the Full Spectrum (Far, Middle, Near) targets different parts of the body to produce specific health benefits:
The Far wavelength is the longest wavelength, targeting tightly stored toxins within your body that are broken up with the Infrared heat. Once broken up, they are now free to be purged through sweat, the body’s natural way to release toxins.
The Mid wavelength, the second longest wavelength, targets muscle and joint tissue – reducing inflammation and increasing flexion. This, in turn, results in pain relief and aids in physical performance. It is commonly recommended by Physical Therapists and is an effective therapy for those who practice sports, exercise, or are in physical recovery.
The Near wavelength, the shortest wavelength, targets the skin – increasing collagen, encouraging skin cell rejuvenation, and aiding in fine lines and wrinkle reduction. This specific wavelength is great for anti-aging benefits and is also effective for those who have surgical scars.
In addition to these health benefits, the Full Spectrum of Infrared technology also produces an expanded range of other benefits, including weight loss, reduced blood pressure, and healthy, glowing skin. Plus, when your body is well detoxed, your whole internal Ecosystem is going to function and flow much easier and more efficiently. It’s an awesome domino effect of enhanced health.
Infrared heat is completely safe and healthy for all living things. You can be exposed to infrared light for hours without the risk of burning. Within nature, Infrared is a naturally occurring output of the sun, but does not contain the harmful UV rays associated with unprotected sunlight. Infrared light is used by various physicians and is even used to warm babies in the hospital.
Always consult with your doctor with any questions or concerns before starting any new wellness practice.
Infrared heat is very gentle. The experience is similar to lying in the sun on a warm day and feeling the heat radiate to the core of your body. Unlike traditional hot rock or steam saunas, which can operate in excess of 200°F, infrared heat is effective at a more comfortable temperature, between 100°-145°F. Traditional saunas heat the air vs. within the body directly. Because infrared heat penetrates the body instead of simply heating the surface of the skin, infrared saunas are seven times more effective than traditional saunas at detoxification. By raising the body’s core temperature, infrared saunas can produce a sweat composed of 20% toxins as opposed to just 3% toxins with a traditional sauna.
Sunlighten’s highly efficient, patented SoloCarbon® infrared heating technology gives you the best detoxification experience because it is clinically shown to raise core body temperature by three degrees. You experience a deep, productive sweat from your cells as the SoloCarbon infrared waves penetrate your skin and heat your core to expel the toxins, rather than just sitting in hot, ambient air that only heats your outer skin.
This creates an enjoyable experience of more productive sweat, rather than an uncomfortable, stifling hot and less-productive sweat.
Undergarments are required in our saunas - we recommend wearing cotton material or swimwear so as to not block the infrared rays.
Fresh CELLIANT® towels will have been laid out on the bench in the mPulse Cabin when you arrive. You will find additional towels for you to use during and after your session waiting for you in the sauna room.
Shoes are strictly prohibited in the mPulse Cabin.
Sessions in our mPulse Cabin are for 40 minutes. We customise each visit based on your tolerance for heat and experience in an Infrared Light Therapy sauna. We set the cabin temperature at 55*c. We are able to customise the temperature setting to lower or slightly higher based on your request/preference. Clients who are completely new to sauna are advised to begin their sessions by reducing the time in the sauna and this will be consulted by your Studio Administrator.
Our mPulse cabin benefits from cutting edge Red Light Therapy. Come, dim the lights, and enjoy your sweat in our top of the range Sunlighten sauna.
We provide fresh towels for your convenience. We do not provide shower facilities for pre or post infrared sauna or reformer sessions.
If you are able, we suggest not showering for up to an hour after your sauna session, as you will continue to sweat out toxins as you cool down.
Metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants generally reflect infrared waves and thus are not heated by this system. Nevertheless, you should consult your physician prior to using an infrared sauna.
No. Women who are pregnant should not experience any therapies that raise their core body pressure. This also applies to traditional saunas, steam rooms, and jacuzzis. Post-birth and during breast feeding, infrared therapy is typically safe to resume. However, please consult your doctor prior to booking a session.
Just like any wellness or fitness practice, you will see greater results the more you do it! That being said, the recommended frequency depends on your individual health and wellness goals, as well as your lifestyle.
Clinical studies have shown the effectiveness of three sessions per week for focused therapies of immune health, pain relief and more, and many clients customise and incorporate their infrared therapy sessions into their regular routines and post-workouts.
Clients with auto-immune disease such as Hashimotos or Lyme disease, as well as those suffering from mould toxicity, benefit from daily infrared sauna sessions as this has been proven to deliver a deeper detox.
Whether it’s once a week, less, or more, we have purchase options to easily integrate infrared sauna therapy into your routine.
Water bottles with a lid are permitted in the sauna cabin. You may bring your own water bottle, or you can use the water provided by Core34.
We also recommend adding electrolytes to your water to replenish + hydrate. You will find a free electrolyte sachet in the sauna room for your convenience.
It is important to remain hydrated before and after your sauna session and to support the detoxification process.
Our client's experience, safety, and wellness is our top priority. Learn more about our safety and sanitation protocols here.

Unfortunately, children are not allowed into the studio or sauna room. As much as we love children, we are a boutique studio and this is your opportunity to take some much needed time for yourself.
The mPulse Conquer sauna is designed to accommodate 3 people. For comfort we suggest booking either solo or two-person sessions.
The sauna is equipped with medical grade red light therapy panels which is a fantastic addition for improved skin appearance, accelerated injury recovery and improved pain management.
Proper sauna use is important; just like we warm up and cool down our bodies when we exercise, there are some basic steps to follow to ensure you gain maximum benefits of using a sauna.
Before Sauna Use:
Drink a minimum of 8 oz. of water to prepare your body for an increase in core body temperature.
When you arrive we will have prepped your sauna so it is ready for you to use. It will be pre-heated for 45-60 minutes and fresh CELLIANT® towels will have been laid out on the bench to absorb sweat. You will find additional towels waiting for you in the sauna room.
During Sauna Use:
If you are just beginning with regular sauna use, it is important to start slow and get your body accustomed to infrared therapy. Always listen to your body and adjust based on what it’s telling you.
Stick with it for long-term benefits: Just as with exercise or eating healthy, sauna use takes time and consistency to see results. You may not even sweat the first few times you have an infrared sauna session, but know that sweating (and the detox that comes with it) will increase over time, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and healthy.
Keep it clean: Please use the CELLIANT® towels provided to absorb sweat and excess moisture. You can take water into the sauna but please let us know if there have been any spillages.
After Sauna Use:
Rehydrate with at least 24 oz. of water or electrolyte drink.
Dry off and cool down naturally. Follow with a refreshing shower 60 minutes post cool down.
The Core34 team will clean and sanitise the sauna after every session.
We allow an hour for all Sauna bookings so please arrive for the time you have booked. This will give you plenty of time to change, have your 40-minute infrared session and then rehydrate and get dressed again.
We value all of our clients and want to reward your commitment to your Infrared wellness journey with us. Every Infrared Sauna session you attend in each calendar month will automatically enter you into our loyalty program, which will give you the chance to win one of our five carefully curated monthly prizes.
